Mini-ITX PC
Posted August 6th, 2008 by adminWell today I finished setting up my mini-itx PC. While it’s not the most powerful computer (798MHz) it sure gets the job done. It would get even more of the job done if I could get the video card to get acceleration in linux though
While I’m talking about linux, I set up the pc with Kubuntu(KDE variant of Ubuntu). It works great and it sure makes the best of the PC. I’m using the computer to replace my brother’s old one(my old Dell) because the HD controller on that PC died. Installation was a hassle though. The PC has no CD or floppy drive and it doesn’t support proper USB booting(USB-HDD didn’t work, but USB-ZIP did). Anyway, in the end everything came out fine. Now if only I could get that video card working with acceleration(the TV-out wont work either).
